Michael Sims

Professional Dance Instructor

Michael Sims, has been providing dance lessons, choreography for special occasions and artistic performances independently since 2006. Specializing in American Style Ballroom, Rhythm, Swing and Salsa.

Michael’s experience includes coaching ice skaters and gymnasts, as well as performing with the National Basketball Association. For four years, he trained with a franchised ballroom organization. Since 2002, Michael has traveled to various locations throughout the U.S. and world with students to compete in Ballroom and Salsa competitions, bringing home many medals and trophies. He currently competes and provides lessons at various locations serving Maryland, D.C., and Virginia.

Ken Roesel

Dance Instructor

The expert knowledge and understanding of social partner dancing is no stranger to Ken Roesel. Ken’s extensive award winning experience as a dance competitor, choreographer, teacher, and coach in Country Ballroom and Swing world earned him a place amongst the greats as a 2011 National Living Legends of Dance inductee.

As a dancer who learned to dance in his early years of development by feel and later following a more traditional formal dance education, Ken brings a very unique understanding and perspective to his social dance classes. Regardless of the class level or your skill level as a dancer, you will never walk away without having learned a new concept on how to look at and approach your social dancing.

Dave Malek

Dance Instructor

Dave Malek also known as “Dancin Dave” has taught in the area for 20 years, providing private lessons as well as hosting parties and workshops at numerous dance halls.
